Carol Ostrow
At the helm of Carol Ostrow Group Sales is Carol Ostrow, an accomplished theatrical producer. Most recently, she served on the producing team for the revival of the award-winning comedy Forbidden Broadway. She is also incredibly proud to have produced the Anti-Defamation League’s production, ADL and Broadway: Side by Side Against Hate For 100 Years.
Her diverse musical and concert credits include the award-winning production of a brand-new musical, Song of Solomon, presented in concert form for the historic Actors’ Temple, as well as Berlin to Broadway-Transatlantic starring the international singing sensation Adrienne Haan. Prior to those projects, she produced Jewish-American Princesses of Comedy at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Carol’s extensive production credits also include I Am Anne Frank starring Andrea Marcovicci at Town Hall, Berlin to Broadway with Kurt Weill at the Triad Theatre, and Scent of the Roses starring Julie Harris at the Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center. In addition, she was the creator and producer of Hot Klezmer at the American Jewish Theatre and was one of the producers of After Play, written by and starring Anne Meara (winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best New Playwright). Her portfolio further includes the musicals Inside Out, Greetings starring Gregg Edelman, and A Room Of One’s Own starring Eileen Atkins (winner of the Obie Award for Best Actress, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Lucille Lortel awards for Best Play). Together with her partner Arthur Cantor, she also produced the smash hit Beau Jest in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and Boston.
Expanding into new mediums and services, Carol’s newest venture is producing films, such as Torte Bluma, which won four major festival awards in 2006. She also runs a premier group sales organization, providing tickets to Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, while additionally teaching presentation training to those who wish to learn how to speak publicly.
In addition to her career as a producer, actress, dancer, and choreographer, Carol is a deeply dedicated volunteer. She has served on the boards and raised funds for the League of Professional Theatre Women, The Barrow Group, The Joyce Dutka Foundation for the Arts, and Laniado Hospital in Netanya, Israel. Furthermore, Carol served as the Chairperson of the Women’s Division of WIZO children’s fashion show fundraisers for eight years, was honored to serve as Vice Chair of the Board for the Women’s Theatre Project, and is currently and for the last 12 years the president of the Actors' temple in NYC.
